Good product

Says its an expansion pack and I have played sims 3 before but it was not installed on the hard drive and it worked. Good game if you like other sim games.

brilliant fun for all the family

bought this game for my son he loves it, all the fun of owning his own pet without actually scooping up poo!!!!!

New sims but old sims

The Sims 3 pets is a great game, a life simulation with slapstick humour and comedy moments. The control interface is the same as Sims 3, everything about Pets os basically almost the same as sims 3 except in this you have added dogs & cats for the 360 version.

The menu is different like more clean, different animations for the moodlets, theres a new mystery journal added where you go about solving ten mysterys around town with or without your pets, theres new karma powers like Solar Flare and Transmogrify (change your sim into a dog or cat & vice-versa just to name two.

The achievements are all based around the pets mostly, there are 500 new challenges.

The online servers are a bit tempermental.. infact the console vers of pets have been turned off but today 8th jan 2012 there back online.

Pets is basically an expansion no matter what ea and the press will have lead you to believe, there are some bugs like freezing the game, the game slows down when your lot has alot of things on it, there is a new town called Sugar maple island and new jobs. So if you can get past the bugs sims 3 pets is a good purchase.
