Great Day Out

It was an early start at St Pancras, but everything went without a hitch. I had never been on the Eurostar and was thoroughly impressed. Our tour guide Charlotte was lovely. A great way to seee Paris in the one day. Yes it's a long day but well worth it. My husband and I were impressed at the express treatment for the Eiffel Tower and were taken straight to the front of the queues (awesome. The food wasn't the best but the views are one in a million. The Mona Lisa was the highlight of my day. Although the tour guide will charge you for the private tour, I suggest you just pay entry and go on your own as all of the major pieces of work are easy to find. You dont get to see much of The Louvre but in all fairness it would take a week to do this anyway. In all a fantastic day!!!!

Positives: Well planned

Negatives:

Bienvenue Paris!

The day started off early at St. Pancras, straight through to Paris then onto an escorted coach tour of the main highlights of the city. We saw Place de la Concorde, Champs-lyses, Arc de Triomphe and the Notre Dame so don't forget the camera! The tour guide was French and she was very knowledgeable about the city. There were a few perks (we got VIP entry to the Eiffel Tower - there's no way I'd have wanted to wait in that queue!) The Altitude 58 restaurant was a bit of a tourist trap I must admit. You'll end up sitting with other people so it's not particularly private, and the food was all pre-made and packed. Then it's onto the Seine for a river cruise, and finally we finished up at the Le Louvre , however there wasn't much time to see a lot here (and it's an extra [$]s).It was a great experience, but pricey and you can do it yourself much much cheaper. Obviously it's Paris and you need more than a day. It's worth noting that if you're prepared to pay an extra [$] you can change the return ticket for a different date and make a weekend of it.

Positives: Fully escorted, Main highlights of Paris, Romantic getaway

Negatives: Very Expensive
