PS Vita Wi-Fi Console with Uncharted Golden Abyss, 8GB Memory Card and Starter Kit

The Psvita is a step up from the psp. The console is lighter and bigger, but not in a negative way. The product still feels great in the hands and with it being that much lighter, this allows for you to play it for longer without feeling the need to rest your arms somewhere.

The touch screen capability is nice, don't go expecting an iPad feel for this touch screen as it feels it is purely used to get from screen to screen. The real joy from the console comes from playing the games. The graphics themselves are amazing for a hand held. The psvita has been in stores for a good few months the games are still a little limited. I'm sure in time more games with be arriving that will really test and show the power of the vita.

The games currently used for my vita are FIFA football, uncharted and wipeout. All great games. A demo of Rayman also shows the clarity of the screen.

The common disappointing elements of the psvita are the battery, if you are planning to play this for hours on end, then I'm afraid those hours will only last for about 5! At best. This device is more suited to the pick up and play market, for example on the way to work on the tube, in a waiting room, in a hotel for a couple of hours. Always have a charger close by!
The other downside, Is the 'must' have memory stick, all these games, apps etc look nice and attractive, without a memory card, you can't use half of them to their full ability, if at all.

Overall, for gamers this is a must have, especially with this still being quite a young console, with new games being developed this is very much the handheld to have. I would say if you are buying this today, then don't expect the greatest thing since sliced bread, but latch on to a few games( FIFA, uncharted, wipeout, mortal kombat) and wait for the psvita game doors to open, that is when you will see your value for money.
