Fantastic 3D Television!

[...].Assambling the TV & stand was very quick and easy to do, it took less than 5 minutes and because of the slotting mount on the stand the TV could be assembled by one person if done carefully.Setting up the Wi-Fi on the TV proved to be a bit of a challenge as it refused to connect to my router a number of times before eventually deciding to play nice. Once connected it hasn't dropped signal once and runs all of the Internet features with ease.Picture quality is astounding, the image is almost perfectly crisp at any distance and the colours are vibrant and look good in almost any lighting. The sound was a little average, if not less than average so I would definitely recommend that anyone considing this television should also purchase a surround-sound home cinema system to match it. The sound on the TV itself is a little quiet and when using the virtual surround sound it can seem tinny and echoes a bit.In the television's gaming mode, the input lag is somewhere around 18-20ms which is fine for any fast paced shooter games or sport games. In the standard viewing mode, games are still playable however it is recommended to use gaming mode to ensure a fluid experience.I chose to purchase a couple of pairs of 3D glasses with my television and had a play on the set's Internet features to try out some 3D content. The 3D image was clear and very clean looking and appeared to be as good in quality as the standard 2D content. With the television being Plasma, the viewing angles on the set are fantastic and people can be sitting in a position to the side of the screen and still see a clear image. The navigation for the settings menu is quite long winded with a large number of levels to the menu so people can spend a long time flicking through the vast range of options to find what they are looking for. In a way it is good to have so many options to completely customise your viewing experience, however for an average user the menu will be far too complex. The connectivity on the back of the television is very well packed with a good number of ports to plug in various devices. I was a little dissappointed with the choice for the AV ports as they require extension adapters to plug in a SCART/Component device... this results in two cables that shouldn't really be needed just to attach devices to these ports. The design of the television itself is very nice, it has a clean and fairly glossy black bezel to the screen that is quite small. The television itself is also very thin so it can doesn't take up too much room and allows for speakers or other devices to be placed behind the set. I'm not too fond of the clear plastic rim around the bezel though as it doesn't seem to have any real purpose. In terms of energy usage, the television uses a bit more than an LCD/LED equivalent but is very energy efficient compared to competing Plasma panels. It comes with a label notifying the buyer that it holds an energy rating of Band C and uses roughly 138w of energy in normal usage. If you want to save more energy, the television does have an option to switch on an 'Eco' mode which reduces power consumption by a decent amount.Overall this Panasonic television is a really high quality build and is perfect for people looking for a mid-range TV for their home. It is suitable in most room sizes due to the picture quality being clear at any distance so can be used in a lounge or bedroom without issue.

Positives: Built-in Wi-Fi, Vibrant colours, High quality 3D, Good connectivity, Quick to assemble, Perfect picture quality, Large stand, Low input lag on games, Decent energy saving

Negatives: Wi-Fi tempermental, Average sound quality, Complex settings menu
