Sonic Colours is the latest action adventure from Sonic the Hedgehog

Sonic Colours finds our hyperactive hero accelerating to adrenaline-pumping speeds and blasting his way through obstacles.

Based in an amusement park world where the evil Dr Eggman has captured the alien race of Wisps, who have a range of colourful energy powers.

When Sonic frees a Wisp, he can absorb their colour energy, giving him new abilities on his relentless charge.

These include an ability to drill through the ground (yellow energy) or blast through as a laser (cyan energy). Combining Wisp power-ups will Sonic"s boost gauge even further. Wii exclusive power-ups include Pink Spike, Green Hover and Purple Beserker.

Sonic Colours for the Wii combines both 3D and classic 2D game play perspectives, providing exhilarating fun for Sonic the Hedgehog fans of all ages.

Family fun at it's best

Family fun at it's best .. excellent Sonic game.. graphics up to the usual excellent standard.. fan's of Sonic the Hedgehog will really enjoy this game.. I look forward to the next time I can play it!!

Awesome

Having recently bought Sonic Generations I had played Planet Wisp in it and found the sonic colours 'wisp powerup' concept intriguing and enjoyable. I bought this game as I like the planet wisp level in Sonic Gnerations and I was not disappointed, the gameplay is style is virtually identical, the levels are challenging at times which is a welcome break from many sonic games where tradition holds that you just hold right and jump in time. There are some puzzles to be overcome in this game and the levels have a variety of settings that stop it from becoming boring.

The only thing I did not like was the fact that on the wii version at least, you can't control the volumes of the narrative and the BG Music separately, the BG Music could do with being a bit lower during vocal sequences.

You can play this Game with the Wiimote and nunchuck or you can play it with a Gamecube controller, I preferred using the Gamecube controller.

Positives: Addictive, Challenging, Replay Value
