The Nikon Coolpix S9300 is a compact super-zoom digital camera that's sharp enough to capture the moment in stunning detail.

The 16 megapixel back illuminated CMOS sensor delivers superb results, even in low light.

Excellent campact camera

The camera is great, the view finder is very clear and the picture quality is excellent on most occasions, there are a few blurry pictures but this is due to the settings I guess, the only bad points I can think of are the battery and SD card cover can easily become undone as the lock clip is easily adjusted and also the settings dial can be easily adjusted when not wanted. otherwise a excellent buy and I loved taking normal snaps and good macros with it in Thailand.

Positives: Fast Shutter Speed, Excellent In Low Light, Good Sized Screen, Great Resolution, Easy To Use

Negatives: Bad Battery Life

Snap happy

Wanted a good camera for our next holiday to Florida, this camera is better then I expected, all the pics are super clear apart from when its very close distance between 1-10cm it takes a while to focus, but as I only really use it for holiday snaps this doesn't affect me

Positives: Good Sized Screen, Nice Features and Settings, Rugged, Fast Shutter Speed, Excellent In Low Light, Easy To Use, Good Battery Life, Great Resolution

Negatives: Heavy

Very Happy, would recommend

Very easy to use, just point and shoot and it does it all for you in auto mode. Particularly like the GPS, the sophisticated durable look and the 18x zoom; this enabled me to take those long far away shots on holiday I'd been wanting to take for ages.
Downsides are that the battery life is not quite as long as I had hoped for and my finger nearly always seems to be in the way of the pop up flash ( I'll just have to modify how I hold the camera!) Don't let this put you off purchasing!

Worse than a 2007 camera phone!

Bought this with the aim of getting good quality pictures from an indoor, but very brightly lit environment. Started on day one with some shots taken entirely on automatic, and was shocked at the results. The camera didn't even manage to focus correctly, let alone take any decent pictures.
According to nikon, my mistake was to use it near water - not in, or under water, just nearby. Also, again according to nikon themselves, i was expecting too much from the flash as the "flash on a S9300 can only carry a couple of feet ". That is exactly what they said!!
If you are looking for a good photo, don't buy this - take some crayons, draw a sketch, and you will get a better result.

More Than I Imagined!

I took it out the box, and immediately used it. It was so simple to use, I did not even need to consult the manual.

It feels sturdy in the hand, takes photos quickly and the flash is superb.

I would recommend this to anyone looking to take great quality pictures and a reasonable price.
