Great tv but not Full HD when 3D

Great tv and great 3d but although one review states Full HD when in 3D mode being passive 3D the 1080 resolution is split. Half the lines are displayed for the left eye and the other half for the right eye so you actually only get 540 lines each eye (close to standard definition) If you were to watch/play something that is normally 720P you would actually only see 360 lines per eye (less than standard definition) and that can make a difference depending on the game you are playing and for me is noticeable with films.
The picture quality with this tv is great but if you like to watch your movies in Full HD 1080P then you would be best going for an Active Shutter tv.

Positives: Simple Controls, Good Resolution, Attractive Design, Bright Image

Negatives:

Amazing TV.

Absolutely amazing quality and value for money, it is quite remarkable how good this TV really is. The 3D is magnificent, a little crosstalk but not much. It can be easily configured to how you like the depth of the 3D etc. The quality of picture is fantastic, the best I've seen on any TV. All this and much more for the price you pay is outstanding value. Well recommended.

Positives: Attractive Design, Good Resolution, Good Connection Options, Bright Image, Fast Setup

Doesn't let you down

Great TV, perfect picture, easy set-up, 2D-3D is very noticeable imo, 3D movies are great with the passive glasses and they don't give you a headache nor do they have the annoying buzz you get with the shutter style.
2D-3D conversion even works with xbox360 games, plus you have the added 'Dual Play' feature so no more split screens as you have a full screen each when wearing the 'Dual Play' glasses which are sold separately.
All in all a great TV

Positives: Good Resolution, Fast Setup, Simple Controls, Bright Image

Negatives:

That`s the stuff

Coming from a Manta 42" Full HD 3D (Passive) TV I wanted better, my tv was great for 2D stuff, but there were to many problems with "Cross talk" (double vision) which spoilt the 3d enjoyment. So after tasting 3D on my old tv I wanted to upgrade and get better quality.Well on to the LG TV itself, when I first saw it I checked it out on various sites, LG`s claims are bold and enticing, advanced 3d technology? Full HD passive 3D? Surely not!Setting it up didn`t take long, went through the easy onscreen setup, and a few tweaks got things set. Instantly I noticed how bold and rich the image and colour quality is! Delving deeper into the advanced settings resulted in even more quality at my preference. The 4 pairs of 3D glasses supplied with it are very nice, they are very lite and comfortable, and do not darken viewing like normal Cinema 3D glasses.I have been putting the tv through it`s 3D paces, I first tried out the 2D to 3D feature, my last TV`s effort was useless, it just basically took the flat image and then made it look further back in the screen, nothing 3D about that really and was not impressive in any way. LG claim the new Cinema 3D tvs use a new advanced conversion, and in testing it out I must say that although it`s not really up to true 3D quality it is much better, it really does add depth to the 2D content. The effect is quite subtle but evident and once you get used to it, it does look really good. You can tweak the intensity of 3D using the easy 3D settings, but you still will not get quite the same result as real 3D content.Of course though real 3D is what we want to know about and this tv does not dissapoint at all. I have not seen any "cross talk" on this tv at all, the depth is superb. I watched Despicable Me in 3D on this with my kids and loved it! Great depth and even some pop out (not many films use pop out). Other 3D films I tried looked great to!PS3 games look great, the TV`s vibrant colours and sharp picture make it a joy to view the games. I eagerly tried out some of my 3D enabled games, again the TV handled them perfectly, even on their intense 3D settings. Avatar the game shows superb depth when configured correctly, then one of my favourite games Motorstorm Apocolypse which is high speed racing with chaos going on around you is jaw dropping in 3D!I find it intersting that when running 3D content the tv actually states 1080p, not sure how LG have achieved this with passive 3d, supposingly only Active 3D could achieve full HD 3D, but this tv seems to aswell, and it looks stunning for it.I tried the TV on my network (using LAN cable), it was easy and quick setting up, and the TV has played back everything I could throw at it from my PC (streaming), including 3D movie files (just have to enable 3d manually), and all played smooth and in superb picture quality. There are loads of little settings you can tweak to your liking on this tv, and helped with the Picture Wizard 2 it`s a breeze.Thankfully the tv has various options for 3D (most not needed for 3D Blurays), these are handy for downloaded 3D movies as they sometimes come left/right, others up/down etc etc, the tv covers them all which is great. This TV is superb quality, [...]. I highly recommend it!

Positives: Good Resolution, Bright Image, Attractive Design, Clean 3D, Good Connection Options, Fast Setup, Full HD

Love

It's got Full HD screen with great quality, great sound, and nice looking design. For the most part, I watch TV with 2D mode, but sometimes I switch it to 3D and never been disappointed once. The glasses are nice and light so they are comfortable on the face and don't give you headache like Active 3D TV would usually do. My little girl loves to watch Tangles on 3D with glasses on and we watch that almost every night before her bedtime, but I don't get bored because the 3D effect is just amazing.

Positives: Fast Setup, Reduced Glare, Good Connection Options, Simple Controls, Good Resolution, Bright Image, Attractive Design

Negatives: None
