So Far So Good

I didn't read the instruction properly and broke the E string. Funny, because the instructions had "Do not over tighten the strings" written on the top & bottom of the page on both sides! I replaced the E String and then replaced all of them. This was because the new E string sounded better than the ones the violin came with. So, with all of the strings changed and tuned, I am happy with my purchase. It stays in tune well, it appears to be well made and I am making good progress with it. I think it's sound is very good.

You do have to fit the bridge (which is standard practice) and is quite easy. You Tube tutorials will help any new musician set up and tune his or her violin up well.

Over all I am very pleased with it's quality and sound.

great for anyone starting violin

i bought this for my 10 year old who plays in the school orchestra and he loves it.

i would recommend this for anyone starting off.

Positives: Consistent, Easy To Play

Negatives: Requires Constant Tuning

Highly recommended !!

This item is ideal! As a complete beginner I was nervous but brought it to my new violin teacher who was equally impressed!
The sound after tuning was spot on.. I had read reviews that this item was constantly in need of tuning but actually that is true for all violins!
I did find the bridge to be difficult and initially placed it on wrong which lead to a horrible sound! I am going to buy a new bridge (cheap to buy in music stores) but for a 30year old beginner, this is perfection!
The DVD is easy to follow and I find myself constantly returning to the DVD lessons to enjoy! :)
I'm buying the smaller version for my niece who is 10 years of age :)

Positives: Consistent, Rich Sound, Easy To Play, Quality Craftsmanship, All Inclusive
