This exciting introduction to off-road motorcycling covers all of the basics; how to stand, brake, corner and ride cross country effectively to enable you to ride on some fantastic terrain. You’ll have a chance to use the latest Kawasaki KLX 250, fuel injected, four stroke, liquid cooled engine with a six speed transmission. It was designed with the beginner in mind but with more than enough capabilities for even the most experienced rider. After a warm welcome including a hot drink, the day starts with a group briefing and video presentation, safety instruction and an introduction to the bike you’ll use for the day. You will also sign an indemnity form and will be issued with safety gear. At 10.00 you’ll set off, under instruction onto the course. The course is designed to teach the basics of bike, throttle and clutch control and on-bike body positions. Full debrief before finishing for the day.

Location: Wiltshire - Edington. You are advised to wear clothing suitable for modern road orientated motor cycle riding. You will be issued with MX boots, MX gloves, goggles, MX helmet, knee guards, over jacket (not protective) and MX trousers. Sizes: boots 40-47 and trousers 28-40 inch waist. If you require body armor please bring it with you. A change of socks, thermal leggings and thin layers are advised for cold weather. A camelback is advised. Minimum age: 21. You must hold a full and valid licence (not provisional) for riding a motorcycle in the UK and have not been convicted within the last five years of any driving offence involving drink or drugs or that resulted in a driving disqualification.

Your flying lesson starts with a briefing from your instructor before the flight, covering safety and an introduction to some of the controls.

Once in the plane, you will be given headphones so that you can hear conversations between your instructor and air traffic control, and so that you can talk with your instructor. And when you get in the air, you'll be able to take over the controls - though your pilot will generally land the plane and taxi back. You should allow an hour for the whole experience. The flight will last approximately 25-30 minutes.
