3 reviewsPokemon Soul Silver version takes you back to the scenic Johto region first introduced in the original Pokemon Gold and Pokemon Silver games nearly a decade ago. The Nintendo DS updated graphics sound and touch screen add new layers of intrigue and excitement to this richly detailed adventure. Heart Gold and Soul Silver both feature new Pokemon characters to explore and discover. You can also enjoy the return of many of the classic Pokemon characters for you to catch & train and battle. The game is bundled with peripheral called the Pokewalker; a pedometer on which players can transfer a single creature to walk alongside them in the real world. Your steps are converted into a currency to unlock mini games; while helping to train your chosen Pokemon so they are more effective in battle. Pokemon Soul Silver can access the Nintendo WiFi Connection and is also fully compatible with Pokemon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. Another new part of the game is the Pokeathlon a suite of stylus based mini games such as hurdling. Pokemon Gold Heart version is also available PG831. Age from 3 years.

This new instalment still features the animated charm and hand-drawn art that has featured in the previous Professor Layton titles, as well as lots of brand new content. Brand-new mini games and all-new episodes can be unlocked as you progress through the game. Each episode offers you a glimpse into the life of some of the interesting characters that you meet while solving the case.
As well as guiding Layton through this captivating new storyline, you can also get to grips with three new mini games. Lay a train track for a small model train to pass through all the stations and reach the goal, or juggle verbs to get the right performance on stage. The third new mini game involves you guiding a fish around an obstacle course to collect golden coins.
