Welcome to my new DVD, Duel - It's all about challenges and some big questions. Which car makes the most smoke while going sideways - a Lambourghini Murcielago SuperVeloce or a Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S? What is best at drifting? - the Jaguar XKR, the Louts Evora, Audi's R8 V10 or BMW's M3? To find out, I globe-trot from sun-drenched Spain to Silverstone via Oxfordshire and Swindon. There i serious science too. Can the Stif drift a car while wearing wellies? Can I corder in flippers? Can Formula Once ace Anthony Davidson slide a car- in ice skates? Who is best at off road driving? - Newwoman Kate Silverton, rugby's Matt Dawson singer Ronan Keating - or me? Which is the fastest - a car or a man? Find out as the Aston Martin V12 Vantage sprints against flying rugby winger Tom Varndell in 100 metre drage race. And at last, The Stig goes to helmet against The Tiff. The White-suited racing drive and I join forc es againt Vicki Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell. There's carnage in an auto-test and I push the 190mph Aston Martin DBS Volante to the limit against Vicki in a ?150,000 Ferrari California. I also pick a Ford Focus RS for a road race against his Stigness in a Lambourghini Gallardo Spyder. Who will win? There's more. What will hit the ground first from 150 feet up a penny or a Ford Scropio? Can the Stif ride a bicycle? And can a man with a rubbish car get it home usiing no fuel at all. Just a catapult. Meanwhile, there's a terrible accident witha Morris Marina and a piano and everything else explodes including Ronan Keating.

Cars! Film! Cars on film! Film involving cars! You get the idea. It's basically a DVD involving those two things.Gasp as we find the perfect drift car for a gritty, Bourne Identity-style chase! Cheer as we stage a race for all those unsung heroes of the movie industry! Whoop as we find the car that makes the perfect dramatic exhaust note to dub onto an action sequence! Make some other sort of noise we haven't thought of yet as we re-attempt the classic Man With The Golden Gun barrel roll, having frankly made a total hash of it when we first tried it on telly! All this plus a vast fleet of sexy supercars and a man with a jet pack racing a Skoda.Top Gear At The Movies. It's better than an actual movie. Probably. Actually, it depends on which movie we're talking about. Truth is, you'd be better judging this on a case-by-case basis. Why not write to us with the name of a film and we'll tell you whether this Blu-ray is better or not. Actually, on second thoughts, don't. Contains 1 disc. Cert PG.

Top Gear marks 50 years of James Bond films with a rip-snorting celebration of 007's most iconic cars. From the gorgeous, gadget-laden Aston Martin DB5 and aquatic Lotus Esprit to the gawky Citroen 2CV and spiral jumping AMC Hornet, Richard Hammond looks at the machines that moved the world's favourite spy and gets the stories behind them from Bond legends including actors Daniel Craig and Sir Roger Moore, directors Guy Hamilton and Vic Armstrong, and producer Michael G. Wilson. Inspired by the on-screen Q Branch, Hammond also attempts a car gadget of his own with a home-made 'invisibility cloak' and takes a plucky, low budget stab at something even the Bond producers couldn't crack - building a fully working Lotus submarine. Top Gear - 50 Years Of Bond Cars. It's almost as exciting as an actual Bond film. 1 disc, PG Cert.
