Kim (Felicity Jones) is 19 year old and an ex-skateboarder who works in a burger bar for a living. When she stumbles into a 'chalet girl' job, she's completely out of her element on the snow and with the Madsen family; her uber-posh employers and their ultra-cool son Jonny (ED Westwick). Kim just can't seem to get it right and worst of all, she can't even ski! So finding a dusty snowboard, she begins to teach herself and realises her real talent is out there on the slopes. He soon befriends a depressed young woman who's mourning the death of her husband by engaging in compulsive sex with almost everyone she meets; she also knows his wife and offers to deliver a letter of his to her if he acts as her partner in a local dance competition.
