Lost - Seasons 1-6 Blu Ray
Created by successful television producer J.J. Abrams (ALIAS), LOST has become one of the most popular and critically acclaimed programmes of its day. The story concerns the survivors of a terrible plane crash, who find themselves stranded on a tropical island with seemingly little chance of a rescue. Medical doctor Jack takes a position of leadership, helping to rally the survivors and prepare them for a period of difficulty as they learn how to survive on the paradisaical island. But everything is most definitely not as it seems, and as the series progresses the island's many dangers and mysteries are revealed; including evidence that the plane crash may not have been an accident after all. As they struggle to survive, each of the characters forms alliances and makes enemies, all while dealing with the unresolved issues of the lives they've left behind. LOST distills the difficulties of society down to their essence, exploring these problems with compelling characters and with a setting that's equal parts paradise and mystery. This collection includes the complete series 1 to 6 of the television phenomenon. Contains 35 discs. Cert 15.- Price

Star Trek: The Original Series Blu-ray
Originally touted as TV's first adult science fiction series, creator Gene Roddenberrys Star Trek is the most popular and influential science fiction series ever seen on American network television. Unlike so many other sci-fi/fantasy programs, Star Trek favoured strong characterizations and solid story values over gadgetry and monsters. The program quickly attracted the best writers of the genre, among them Richard Matheson, Theodore Sturgeon, Robert Bloch, David Gerrold and Harlan Ellison. Even so, there were still plenty of special photographic effects, which may seem a bit primitive when seen today but were sufficiently impressive to earn an Emmy award at the time. Describing space as "the final frontier" in the famous opening narration, Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner), commander of the starship U.S.S. Enterprise, informed the viewer that his vessel's five-year mission was to "seek out new life forms and new civilizations", and "to boldly go where no man has gone before." Presented in this fantastic collection is the entire original series of the widely popular phenomenon. A must have for all fans and newcomers alike!

Star Trek: Next Generation Movie Collection
Contains 5 discs. Four of the big-screen 'Star Trek' spin-offs featuring the crew of 'The Next Generation'. In 'Generations' (1994), Captain James T Kirk (William Shatner) reluctantly comes out of retirement to attend the launch of the 'Enterprise B'. 'Enterprise D' captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) is mourning the deaths of his brother and nephew when he is called to investigate an attack on the Amagosa Observatory. When Picard himself enters the Nexus, a historic encounter results. In 'First Contact' (1996), Captain Jean-Luc Picard, once assimilated by the alien Borg, now senses that they are about to return. He is proved correct when the Collective engages the Enterprise E in battle, only to escape through a temporal vortex into the Earth's past. It was this event that attracted the attention of some passing Vulcans and established Earth's 'first contact' with alien life. While Riker (Jonathan Frakes) leads an away team to prevent the Borg from tampering with the Earth's history, Picard must repel a Borg invasion of the Enterprise. In 'Insurrection' (1998), a Federation team are unobtrusively observing life on the remarkable world of Ba'ku, where 600 peaceful inhabitants enjoy the planet's youth-preserving qualities. Captain Jean-Luc Picard leads his crew in an effort to protect Ba'ku's residents and thereby honour the Federation's Prime Directive: non-intervention in the development of other civilisations. 'Nemesis' (2002) is the tenth instalment in the 'Star Trek' film series. When Picard and the crew discover a disassembled prototype of their android colleague Data (Brent Spiner) on a distant planet, they take the parts back to the Enterprise and attempt to put them back together. Meanwhile, news arrives that the new Romulan leader Shinzon (Tom Hardy) wants to restore relations with the United Federation of Planets and Picard is sent to negotiate. Cert 12.- Price
