The first posh kitchen bin I've owned. Why did I put up with cheap ones all those years? This is smart, well made & looks great (although note that the black one is all black & does not have the silver trim as shown in the picture). The touch top is very handy when you've got your hands full of rubbish.

After reading some really good reviews, I decided to go ahead and purchase this bin. I ordered the Matt Black, as Chrome bins so easily mark, and I didn't want to have to keep wiping down, and cleaning the bin every five minutes. The picture of the Matt Black bin, clearly shows the lid comprising of a chrome, or brushed steel component, with the touch section of the lid being black. When I got my bin out of the box, with super excitement, I found just a plain black bin, there is no chrome/brushed steel on this bin at all. And because of that, the bin I essentially was going to spend [$] on, (which is an awful lot of a bin) now looks cheap, and as if the whole thing were made of plastic, despite it not being. This, most certainly, (in the colour Matt Black) is not worth anywhere near [$], I couldn't be more disappointed. I do hope the black and chrome bin exists, as it's beautiful, and would look perfect in my kitchen, but as it is now, plain black, I would most definitely not recommend it to anyone, it looks cheap, and most certainly isn't.

Really pleased with this Brabantia bin - my sister had one a few years ago and it was silver and marked really easily so I decided to go for the matt black instead of silver. Best decision i ever made. Wipes clean and doesnt leave the mark that stainless steel usually does. Was also going to go for the 50 litre bin but decided against it and i'm glad because the 30 litre is bigger than I expected! Free bags included to get you started as they can be quite pricey! Can't believe it was on sale as well - happy all round!! :)

I'd definatly say the picture gives it more credit then its actually worth. Wouldn't pay [$] for it if i saw it in a shop.

A nice sized bin for your average family kitchen,just a slight touch with a finger tip to open the lid.
Bespoke bag's which fit correctly.
unobtrusive on the eye.

kitchen bling!

My mum owned a brabantia bin for as far back as I can remember and never had any problems with it, when I had my new kitchen fitted there was no argument I was getting this bin! They are a little on the expensive side but well worth the money and they are guaranteed for 10 years. Looks fab in my kitchen touch top is very handy and easily wipes clean. I love it, brabantia is the king of bins
