Well worth the money.
Ok first of all I have owned/used ALOT of carpet cleaners, having 2 dogs & 4 cats my carpets get grubby. We have not long moved into a old house with v grubby carpets, I tried my steam cleaner on them, and also another main brand of carpet cleaner and they did nothing.
We cannot afford to re carpet the whole house so decided to give this ago...a few people have said about it being heavy, I have to say I found this lighter than other brands....and also a lot easier to use.
I had a stain on my living room carpet that I have tried so many things on and it has never shifted, I went over it a couple of times with this and it was gone !! It has really given a new lease of life to my carpets and I am really happy.
Drying time was really quick, carpets were all dry in under 30 mins.
My advice to people is too get a spare belt for this, as with most bissell machines their belts do not last long, but they are not expensive.

good shampoo cleaner with drawbacks
I have used this machine on really old & dirty rugs that I would have thrown out,It can be hard work but the effort can be worth it,on light dirt & spills it's easy,it does work better with bissell fluid as other manufacturers are weak.I have had a vax cylinder wet n dry & vax upright top of range but this knocks spots off them.you do have to be careful not to overwet the carpet but practise makes perfect,it can be too powerful at times if you are not used to it & grab at your rug but again it's like everything else practise.it does get through a lot of drive belts but cheap & easy to replace ,it is a bit on the expensive side & would recommend taking out a warranty like vax & other manufacturers plastics get weak over time with hot water etc,I have owned the cheaper models in the bissell range & they do just as good a job but take a couple of hours extra at least to dry.would I recommend this to a friend,possibly but more likely the cheaper model if you don't mind waiting for drying out time,this is good but takes longer than time quoted if heavy soiled

FANTASTIC CARPET WASHER
GREAT CLEANER, ALTHOUGH EXPENSIVE DOES A NICE CLEAN JOB ON MY CARPETS. HAVE YET TO TRY ON OTHER ITEMS THAT IT IS MEANT TO CLEAN BUT LOOK FORWARD TO TRYING IT OUT.
