keeps breakign down randomly!

if you are going to buy it because of the attractive design displayed here, i was like that once so indulged, and tempted to get the wrapper off, when you start using it and cleaning it you will see how cheap the thing really is, the surround isnt durable or strong its scratched easily and if the decorative coal falls off the coal bit then the surround gets marked and chips, even if you try to clean it to get marks off you are left with a white patch.
i have to say any of you who have bought this or are going to buy it breaksdown and develops faults a lot!
mines isnt that old but i dont know what id do if there was not guarantee, it sometimes made noises and sometimes automatically slept and didnt wake up and the fire was replaced a number of times.
its cheap raw materials in there covered up by a modern design. who didnt get hypnotized?

Negatives: Surround isnt very strong, Poor value, Chipped if coal falls, Coal marks the paintwork

I would recommend

Arrived today. great!
I thought i was going to have to build the surround but it came all up and ready to put in place and use.... lovely heat. you can just have the flame on if you wish to make the room feel warmer, lovely looking fireplace, very happy with it.
