Internet giants Google have joined forces with Asus to produce the great value Nexus 7 tablet PC, a serious contender for the iPad's throne.

This great-looking 7 inch tablet is the first to feature the impressive new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and has a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor at its heart, ensuring everything happens quickly and smoothly. You also get a GeForce graphics card for seriously impressive graphics processing.

It weighs only 340g and is less than 11mm thick, so the Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet was built with portability in mind, including your comfort while holding it for extended periods.

The 7 inch touch screen is made with Gorilla Glass, which not only offers scratch resistance but also features viewing angles up to 178 degrees wide. This makes it perfect for sharing, and with the 1280 x 800 resolution, you can be sure that whatever you're using your tablet for it will look superb.

The Asus Google Nexus 7 is also the first tablet to support NFC (Near Field Communication), meaning all you have to do is bring compatible devices into close proximity to share information and transactions.

Other great features include Light Sensor, E-compass, GPS, a 1.2 megapixel camera and Android Beam.

LIGHTENING FAST

Daughter loves it, she's 7, she has used it to download apps & watch tv... She has found it nice and lightweight to use with her smaller hands. Feel it would be great to use as an ereader too!
Nice clear screen and very simple to use out of the box. Battery seems to last well. I love my Ipad personally but I enjoy using this equally.

Positives: Large memory, Very easy to use, VERY fast, Sturdy, Non Slip Back, Lightweight

Negatives: Camera not the best

Why pay more for less...

Bought for my two sons, aged 8 and 4.
They love it for apps, games, homework, youtube and browsing.
Parental control can be easily setup on Google Playstore but difficult to do for browsing on Chrome.

Positives: Amazing Touchscreen, Brilliant Clarity, Easy to handle

Negatives: Could be lighter

First Adventure into Tablet Google Nexus

I use the product for online gaming reading ebooks online banking and emails. The Google Nexus 7 is a handy device great for people on the go and for people who cannot wait for the laptop or desktop to load up.

Great piece of kit!

Great little gadget. If your looking for a tablet to browse the net, play games and watch movies on etc you can't really go too far wrong with this. Only gripe would be that you cant expand the memory but not too much of a problem really. Excellent.

Small powerful and easy to use

Have had it for 4 days now and its soo easy to use. Logged in with my google account i have on my phone and within mins i was downloading apps. Screen is crystal clear and big enough to watch a movie on.
only bad point is that it has no SD card slot to add more memory.

best thing since sliced bread

i am very happy with this product, it was very easy to set up as i am not very technical at all the only draw back was the fact i thought there was a camera on it but it is an app and you can only take a pic of whoever is using it!!
